Social Media Control Center Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

Social Media Control Center is a locally hosted tool used by its owner to monitor and, when expressly approved, publish content to social accounts the owner administers. Contact: jahangir031076@yahoo.com.

Information processed

The tool stores administrator account information, connected platform account identifiers and names, OAuth access and refresh tokens, video and post identifiers, titles, descriptions, visibility and scheduling details, local media files selected for publication, platform inventory and performance statistics, and logs of synchronization and publishing actions. The current installation also keeps local records of file scans and publication reconciliation. Instagram message and comment access is not requested by the current Instagram Login configuration; those features remain optional and disabled unless deliberately enabled later.

Purpose and sharing

This information is used to identify the correct account, display publication and performance history, prevent duplicate publishing, schedule approved posts, and diagnose failures. Approved content and metadata are sent to the selected platform through its official API when publication is requested. The installation is local and is not used to sell data or serve advertisements. Platform providers process data under their own policies.

Storage and security

The monitoring database, BrightBean SQLite database, media files and backups are stored on the owner’s Windows computer. The monitoring dashboard listens on localhost and requires authentication. The application also listens on localhost and requires sign-in. BrightBean encrypts stored social account tokens; separate YouTube monitoring and upload grants are encrypted for the Windows user using DPAPI. Access to the computer, its backups and connected platform accounts remains the owner’s responsibility.

Retention and deletion

Operational records remain until the owner deletes them, disconnects an account, deletes the relevant workspace, or removes this installation. Disconnecting a Meta account removes its local connection and credentials; depending on the provider, the Meta grant may also need to be removed from the account’s Apps and Websites settings. Disconnecting a YouTube account triggers its dedicated local cleanup. Deleting a local connection does not delete published posts on Facebook, Instagram or YouTube. Local database backups exist and are not yet subject to an automatic deletion schedule; the owner must review and remove retained backups when fulfilling a deletion request.

Requests and changes

For access or deletion requests, contact jahangir031076@yahoo.com. The owner will verify control of the relevant account, remove applicable local records and tokens, and explain any remaining platform-side grant or backup copy. This policy will be updated if hosting, data collection, optional inbox features or retention practices change.

See the data deletion instructions and terms of service.
